In Indonesia, volunteers, activists, and refugee communities have been working together for years to support and protect refugee rights.
They provide informal education, health care, legal aid, and many more for refugees and asylum seekers. They still need our support. INCLINES project supports these organizations by raising awareness of their visions and missions. It's not a lot, but it's a start.
Below are the organizations in Indonesia that accept donations and or volunteers. Please bear in mind that we're not their official partners, we just want to amplify their messages and movements.
EDUCATION
Refugees can’t continue their formal education in Indonesia because most schools and universities do not accept them. Kids, teenagers, young adults, all of them. These organizations provide self-development opportunities for them through informal basic and English education.

WELLBEING
According to R.A.I.C., most refugees in Indonesia meet the diagnostic criteria for depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and anxiety. However, only approximately 1000 refugees currently have access to irregular psycho-social support with trained mental health professionals, even less that understand the specific issue impacting on mental health in refugee communities. In the 2nd half of 2017, UNHCR Indonesia informed the communities that they will not be resettled for many years if ever, rates of depression, hopelessness, and attempted suicide dramatically increased.
